Wolseley 1500 sold to Malta in 1964
We are trying to re-construct the history of a Wolseley 1500 mark 3 which was sold to a Maltese citizen somewhere around 1964. the vehicle must have been only around 2 to 3 years old.
Unofficial information, over the years, says that it belonged to an British army/naval officer, however this might not be too exact.
If anyone, can in any way, help us to re-construct this vehicle’s history, kindly send us an email on email@example.com

For Sale: – A very fine example of a Wolseley Eight four-door saloon, a 1948 model.
The Wolseley 8 having a two year production run from 1946 to 1948, with its 918 cc ohv engine producing 33bhp. The Wolseley 8 was the most powerful (and only OHV) post-war 8 HP saloon car, giving a good, leisurely and remarkably comfortable performance.
This Wolseley 8 began its life from new in New Zealand but returned to UK in 2016. Finished in its original black paintwork, superb brown leather trim, with wood dashboard, and complete with an operational sliding sunroof. Now running and driving very well since a very recent overhaul of brakes and steering, new tyres recently fitted, and water pump recently reconditioned with stainless steel components. The rear/brake lighting has also been updated with two NOS. Lucas ST51 rear lamps. Although MoT test exempt, the Wolseley has a current MoT certificate.
Price: £7995 ono.

1939 Wolseley 12 Series III. Owned by me for over 40 years. Solid condition but paintwork is a little tired. Leather seats reasonable, headlining only fair. Garaged and waxoyled regularly. Stainless exhaust , good runner with good oil pressure. Valuable reg. no. Huge quantity of spares collected over the years including very rare original workshop manual. Due to lack of time I have not used the car over the past 2 years and can’t see me using it in the next 2 years either so have reluctantly decided to sell.
Wolseley 1800 engine, as seen in photos. This was from a car owned by my father in the late 70s/80s – he scrapped the car when the bodywork was no longer viable, but removed anything that might be useful. I have other parts that may also be useful however I have little knowledge of this subject. Please see photos.- viewing welcome, please contact with any questions and I will do my best to assist.
