This is the longest-running event of its kind in the UK celebrating legendary marques as well as nostalgia-filled icons.

Known for its friendly atmosphere, hundreds of classic vehicles brought by enthusiastic visitors creates an impressive collection in the classic car park alone.  A wide range of independent traders including specialist suppliers of parts, tools and vintage memorabilia, along with service providers will be spread throughout the 3 halls.  One of the largest areas is dedicated to a huge indoor autojumble where show-goers lose themselves for hours rummaging around the bargains in search of that rare find.  On Saturday, visitors can view the lots in the Charterhouse Auction before they go under the hammer on Sunday.

The Wolseley Register stand will be M14 in Mendip Hall where two very different exhibits will be presented:

The owner of the  E4 11/22 exhibit joined the Wolseley Register when he acquired it two years ago.  The car was delivered from Birmingham to Kingston Hill Motors on 18th July 1927, so it is rapidly approaching its 90th birthday.  It has the ‘all-gear’ overhead camshaft 1267cc engine, so called due to the elimination of the chain in the camshaft drive the previous year.  The engine was the progenitor of the OHC Morris Minor, MG and other OHC Wolseley engines made until around 1935.   There are about twenty-five 11/22’s surviving around the world, including examples in Australia, India, South Africa, Holland, Belgium and Denmark as well as the UK, 60% being 4-seater tourers like this example.

In complete contrast, the other exhibit will be a 1969 Wolseley Hornet Mk III being presented by a long-standing local member of the Wolseley Register. The car has been in the same family since new.

Visitors and Register Members will be welcomed to the club stand where technical and membership advice will be available, alongside the full range of club merchandise.  Advance Regalia orders can be placed for collection at the Show.  View the online shop or contact the Regalia Manager for more information.
