Hi!
As my last question was answered so quickly I try a new one: The gearbox of my 6/90 comes with the car damaged (cogwheels with damaged teeth) and in peaces (dismanteled in 1975 – is everything still there?), so maybe it’s better to search a good one.
Which cars used the same gearbox? As far as I know the Morris Isis and the Riley Pathfinder. The Austin Healey 100/6 also? And I heared that the Austin A99/A105 used the same gearbox, but theirs look completely different from the outside…
Kind regards, Martin

Hi Martin, Problems with 1st and reverse are very common with this gearbox, the only answer is to replace the laygear and 1st and reverse gears.
The Riley 2.6 shares the same box and I believe that the pre Farina Westminsters use some of the same internals, most of these were column change but the floor change cars had a side change lever the same as the Healey 100/6 and the early 3000s. You would need to check that any parts would match the 6/90 gear ratios. I am sure that others will be able to provide more detailed information but I hope this is of some help.
Graham.
