I approx 1964, I was the proud owner of GW 4383 (or 4383 GW, I can't remember) a two seat Wolesley Hornet Special (?) in British Racing Green. Swallow body, straight 6, wire wheels, soft top, etc. and I believe the date of manufacture was circa 1933. I also understand it may have been raced at Brooklands. <img src="http://www.wolseleyregister.co....." title="Cry" alt="Cry" /
Being 17 at the time and a penniless student, I could not afford to put the lady on the road and would probably have never got insurance if i had been able to. Whilst I was away from home , the car was sold by a disapproving parent for the princely sum of £9 10 shillings (I beleive the purchaser had haggled down from £10!). I have often wondered what happened to the car and to this day do not have even a photograph. Any know where she is? Thank you.

If only we could all have kept the cars of our youth! I'm afraid that we have no record of your old Hornet, at least not by those registration numbers. Nor does it seem to exist on the DVLA database, so I'm sorry but it looks like it is no longer with us.
