1961 Wolseley 1500 Mk2. 44,500 miles. Lovely solid and original condition, purchased by myself 18 months ago.
Since owning, I have carried out the following work to make the car a good useable and, crucially reliable classic car.
Stripped and rebuilt carburetor, fitted new distributer with electronic ignition and upgraded plugs and coils. Converted the oil filter to “Spin on” type for simple and quick filter changes. Rebuilt the fuel pump with new points and diaphragm etc.
I have just given the car a complete service, including changing the coolant, gearbox, rear axle and engine oil plus lubricating the suspension etc.Everything works as it should on the car, including all lights, door locks, instruments, and she is now driving beautifully. She starts on the button and idles perfectly. The paintwork is good, and there are no gaping holes to fill. She is solid underneath too.Included with sale are Genuine BMC and Haines manuals, Driver handbook, period brochure, Heritage certificate, £250 outdoor car cover, all the spares I have for her, and a folder of bills proving the work done.
Please can I ask anybody interested to contact me and view the car, bearing in mind that this beautiful old lady is 63 years old. She is as she left the factory, that is, with the exception of the carpets and above mentioned enhancements. She has been lightly restored many years ago.First registered in Nottingham at Shipside Ltd, even the number plates are original. (I do have some brand new plates too).
Please bear all of the above in mind, if you are interested, and please come to have a look at the car.
Please pick up the phone if interested, and have a chat.
£6, 995, but genuine sensible offers considered.
