Grey/Maroon Wolseley 1500 Mk3 1964, mileage 91,660
Modifications – electronic fuel pump and distributor.
£6000
We are reluctantly selling my late father’s Wolseley 1500. Dad was a Wolseley Register member until his passing in early 2023, and this car is well known within the club, being at one time owned by a former club President. Dad owned the car since 2014 and spent eight years restoring it to full working order, getting it back on the road last year. We have driven the car periodically since his passing, but cannot give any guarantees.
We have paperwork from all the previous four owners, going back to the original purchase and registration in 1964.
Unfortunately we don’t have a list of everything done during the restoration, but we have many receipts for new parts, and work done on dad’s behalf, including:-
Overhaul and repair of differential, 2016
Rebuild gearbox, 2016
4 new tyres, 2017
All new carpets inside, 2019
Engine out and overhaul/check/rebuild, 2020
There are a number of small spare parts which will go with the car, also the Drivers Handbook and Wolseley and Haynes Workshop manuals.
Mechanically, dad was a perfectionist and he would always take time to ensure things were done properly. To my untrained eye, the car is in lovely condition except that the paintwork is not perfect. Dad struggled to get the correct match for the maroon, and some of the touching up is obvious.
I would prefer initial contact by email if possible. I have more photos of the car, the spare parts, and a link to a video taken of the car on the road earlier this summer. If you are interested, please email me and I will be pleased to send these.
