This was to be my ‘forever’ Wolseley, but a change in circumstances has led me to consider a possible change in direction. My 6/110 is a 1967 Mk.2, manual with overdrive. I bought it in Scunthorpe in February 2022 from a member who in turn had purchased the car at auction, following a long period of its having formed part of a private collection. After driving it home, he decided that it wasn’t driving to his satisfaction, thereafter deciding to subject the engine, gearbox, carbs.and many other essential components to comprehensive rebuild/renewal. His work was documented comprehensively on a series of around 30 tutorial videos, which can still be viewed on YouTube. I was slightly apprehensive about this back story, but fortunately, no major problems were encountered with workmanship. It drives as it should, never showing less than 50psi oil pressure. The condition of the bodywork sold me on the car. Quite literally, it is free from any damage, rust, dents or blisters and presents beautifully. There were a couple of points at which the paint had been ‘polished through’, but I had these refreshed professionally. The underside is superb-clean, properly undersealed, with no evidence of past welding repairs. Inside, the sumptuous red leather upholstery displays inevitable age-related patination, but no damage, and the woodwork is superb. The mileage shows as 57,351 and I have no reason to believe that this is not accurate. The registration number is not original (it is a 1957 Birmingham issue), but for obvious reasons, I think it should stay with the car. I’d obviously be looking for another Wolseley and would consider an 18/85S, or, preferably, a Six in similar condition in exchange, with any agreed adjustments. Already for sale a few months ago, but health problems changed the conditions . The price is now down to £1400 with spare engine (to be reconditioned) starter, alternator, screen wiper, double SU carburetors ,….
All mechanics work like new, including trafficators and jackal system.

1960 Wolseley 6/99 overdrive . Originally owned and driven in Bahrain and then stored
after Bahrain changed from left to right hand side of the road in 1967. With original
Bahraini licence plates and parts. Brought privately to Ireland in 2021 but not driven
here and difficult to access parts due to import duties. In good working order and only
major issue needed is the replacement of a fuel tank. Stored here and ideal for a project
