Five Wolseley cars in a spectrum of colours from across the product range were displayed to represent the Show theme: “Best of Both Worlds”
1925 Wolseley 11/22 E4 – NW 8835
First registered on 14 F
ebruary 1925 in Leeds, this 100 year-old Wolseley has spent most of its life in Yorkshire, with a brief sojourn to Africa in the 1960s. It is a 2-seater with dicky. Currently owned by a pre-war enthusiast the car is driven to local events. This exhibit represented the early era of Wolseley motoring.
1975 Wolseley 2200 “Wedge” – KUJ 124P
This example of the last Wolseley model represented 50 years since the end of Wolseley production. One of only approximately 30 of this model remaining, very few of which are still on the road. In Harvest Gold with blue velour interior and carpets and in superb all-round condition, having benefitted from a recent top quality repaint. This exhibit was driven to the Show by the new owner to represent the last era of Wolseley motoring.
1956 Wolseley 6/90 – 571 HMF
This exhibit, presented in Mist Grey appears regularly at Register events. The owner is a Technical Advisor for the model so was able to answer many enquiries about the 6/90 range.
1934 Wolseley Nine – ANW 197
This car is one of a pair of Wolseley Nines owned by a Midlands Member– the other having red bodywork. Both cars were featured in “The Land Girls” TV series which was filmed in and around Birmingham several years ago. This green example was involved in a staged crash into a tree but no Wolseleys were damaged during filming!
1966 Wolseley Hornet Mk II – FCM 250D
This Wolseley, also owned by a Midlands Member and presented in Cumberland Green bodywork was much admired. The automatic gear box option was ahead of its time for such a small car.

Club merchandise sales and Membership enrolments were taken on each of the busy Show days and many club members and visitors from Ireland, Norway, The Netherlands and all over the UK were welcomed to the stand. A Wolseley Register member from The Netherlands drove his 1939 Series III 14/60 over for the weekend, fitting in visits to the Classic Car Show, Red Bull Racing at Milton Keynes and the Wolseley Restaurant in Picadilly.
A number Register Members were helping or exhibiting at the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show 2025 on other club stands and there was plenty of interaction between clubs. The stand team of exhibitors and local members are all thanked for their support over the weekend.
The Wolseley Register will be back at the NEC from 20-22 March for the Classic Restoration Show and application is being made for the 2026 Classic Motor Show which will run from 13-15 November.
