Hello,
I write in the name of my cousin Jean Paul Marin. He has a Wolseley 14/60 Series III from 1948 ( Chassis No.314/8556).
He wants to install shock absorbers which are not original (for example Spax absorbers). Its too complicated to find original shock absorbers in good condition.
Does anyone know where exacttly these parts are fixed on the car? He is member in the Woseley register (member No 6202)
Best regards
Olivo Marin

Hello Olivo
I am not sure why your cousin believes it is too difficult to find original shock absorbers for his 14/60? They are quite readily available. I personally have a spare set of second hand ones, but you can get reconditioned ones from SVW. Their website is at http://www.svwspares.co.uk/, and their e-mail address is svwspares@aol.com.
The shock absorbers can be found above the axle immediately behind each wheel. To fit modern shock absorbers will require a lot of engineering work.
Regards
Bob Langston
