Dear fellow Wolseley owners. Given that there are significant similarities between a 34 hornet engine and a Nine engine someone might have an answer to my question, hopefully.
So I am putting together a 34 12hp Hornet Special engine and have come to fit the new timing chain and it appears to be 2-3 links to long when the tensioner is in the correct running position. The head and block were skimmed but not by an inch or so. So all I can think is the chain is the wrong length. It is 53 links long with the split link but looks like it should be 51. Any thoughts would be gratefully received.
