Hi Ch
I hope that someone else can help you about removing the clutch cover, but I can confirm that the 14/56 has a wet clutch, ie. it runs in oil. SVW are probably your best bet for most of your spares – see http://www.svwspares.co.uk/

The clutch runs in the engine oil, fed from an oilway in the crankshaft.
The release bearing doesn’t have to be removed to get the pressure plate out
I suspect that the cover has probably stuck to the corks on the driven plate which in turn has stuck to the flywheel, replace a few bolts loosely so that when it releases it doesn’t do any damage, try carefully to prise them apart then undo the bolts evenly once it’s free.
As I said before it is many years since I have worked on these wet clutches but I think there are circlips holding the driven plate in position.
You may need to get the driven plate re-corked anyway as the corks dry out and can break if the car hasn’t been run for a long time.
Proceed carefully and I hope this helps.
Graham.
