Tried registering as requested but it wanted me to pay!
Do you have or are you considering a Facebook presence?

Hi Keith
You don’t need to register to use the public part of the Register’s forum – it is open to everyone, subject to posts being moderated. I think you may have mistakenly clicked on the ‘Join Now’ page, which is the online application to join the Register, hence you being asked to pay!
Please feel free to use the public forum just by clicking on the ‘Ask a Question’ on the right hand side of each page. Members of the Register also have access to a ‘members only’ part of the forum.
I hope this explains the confusion,

Link to register takes you to https://www.wolseleyregister.co.uk/wp-login.php?action=register which seems to be a link to join the Register not register for the forums.
Just got an email welcoming me to the Register.

OK, I can see where you are coming from, although you are the first to point this one out, so thanks for that.
You have been created as an inactive member until you decide to pay your subscription, would you like to subscribe to the Register?
Regarding your question about Facebook, we are not currently intending yo have a Facebook presence, why do you ask?

I know I’ve put on a couple of pounds over the last few years, but I’m still quite active!

OK, thanks. I asked as I couldn’t find you when I did a search for Wolseley on it.
