After some fifteen years I am finally hoping to start restoration on my 1939 Wolseley 14. I think it is mostly complete but I have been told that there is a special radiator cap. Apparently it has figurine of a lady on it which, if so, I don’t have. Is this the case and if so does anyone have one for sale?

Hi Chico

Welcome to the Wolseley Register and many thanks for posting your query on the website forum!

If you Wolseley is a 1939 14, then it is a Series III 14/60. These came with the standard flying ‘W’ on the radiator cap, as per all other 1930’s and later Wolseley’s. So I don’t think that any lady figurines featured as standard from the Wolseley factory. Perhaps your informant had seen a special mascot put on by its owner?
