The Wolseley Register is one of several clubs which form part of the Morris Vehicles Association (MVA). This year the Annual MVA Rally was hosted by the Morris Minor Owners Club at their National Rally on a very hot June weekend. The MMOC were celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Morris Minor. This year is also the 70th anniversary of the launch of many post-war models including the Wolseley 6/80 and Wolseley 4/50.
Hundreds of Morris Minors were present over the two-day event with the MVA clubs presenting a fine display alongside the MMOC Rally. Both the 6/80 & MO, Oxford & Cowley Club and the Landcrab Owners Club International held their own National Rallies at the event so many dual members with the Register chose to support these clubs. Therefore only a select few Wolseleys graced the Register stand this year but Wolseleys from across the MVA display joined forces to make a circuit of the arena.
A Morris Isis exhibit on the Morris Register MVA display was deemed to be the “Best in Show” of the MVA Rally entries. The weekend was rounded off with an entertaining Spitfire Flying Display above the rally field on Sunday afternoon.
Next year’s MVA Rally date and venue will be announced shortly.
