Footman James 38th Bristol Classic Car Show – 17-18 June 2017

Royal Bath & West Showground, Shepton Mallet, Somerset BA4 6QN.

The Wolseley Register stand at this year’s Bristol Classic Car Show presented two very different exhibits in the Mendip Hall.  Both cars generated much interest throughout the weekend.

The enthusiastic owner of the E4 11/22 joined the Wolseley Register when he acquired the car two years ago.  Fast approaching its 90th birthday, the car is one of approximately twenty-five 11/22’s surviving around the world, more than half of which being 4-seater tourers like this example.

By complete contrast, a 1969 Wolseley Hornet Mk III was exhibited by a long-standing local member of the Wolseley Register. The vehicle is a cherished member of the family which has owned it from new.

In the neighbouring Sedgmoor Hall, our colleagues from the Landcrab Owners Club International exhibited two Wolseley Sixes.

Several Wolseley models were spotted in the Classic Car Park during the weekend, including a Register Member’s two tone 1500 Mk I.  A Wolseley Hornet Special was for sale by a Restoration Specialist.

Visitors and Register Members were welcomed to the club stand where technical and membership advice was available, alongside the full range of club merchandise.

Thanks to all who supported the event, either by exhibiting, helping or visiting the club stand on a very hot weekend!
