Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show, with Discovery

Bringing the community together to celebrate classic cars and their restoration journeys.  After a three-year break, the Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show, with Discovery is back, from Friday 18 – Sunday 20 March 2022, with more than 150 Classic Car Clubs contributing to the 1000 plus cars which will be on display across the three-day show. Visit the show’s website here!

Show opens at 10:00am on Friday!

The Wolseley Register will be in Hall 5 at stand number 815 where we will display the following 4 exhibits:

Wolseley 1913 24/30 at the 2022 NEC Classic Car & Restoration Show1913 Vintage WOLSELEY 24/30:- Originally weighing 2 tons with its Limousine Landaulet body (now lost).  Owned by two very enthusiastic and determined Wolseley Register Members who have painstakingly rebuilt this substantial 6-cylinder Edwardian vehicle, including rebuilding the 5 litre sidevalve engine.  It was completely dismantled many years ago, and reassembly started in 2018 with the car being roadworthy in 2021 when it attended the club’s National Rally weekend. The original body was missing but most of a very suitable 1912 tourer body was found, and the missing scuttle and side panels are being remade.

Wolseley Hornet at the 2022 NEC Classic Car & Restoration Show1932 WOLSELEY Hornet Occasional Four Coupe:- this lovely example is in need of some work on the brakes which will be investigated at the Show.  The car has been with the current owner since 2010 and needed little work doing until the current brake problem.

Wolseley 1500 at the 2022 NEC Classic Car & Restoration Show1964 WOLSELEY 1500 Mk III:- this vehicle was fully restored many years ago by two Register Members.  The car has changed hands over recent years and is now in need of some bodywork which will be undertaken at the Show.

Wolseley Hornet at the 2022 NEC Classic Car & Restoration Show1968 WOLSELEY HORNET Mk III:- This example has recently been acquired by an enthusiastic club member who has vast experience of restoring both pre and post-war Wolseleys which he has done to a high standard.  The car is being displayed as found but will be undergoing a full restoration over the coming months.

The owners of each vehicle will be on hand to discuss their projects and restoration work previously completed or ongoing. Members and visitors will be welcomed to the Register stand where they can seek technical and membership advice and/or purchase club merchandise. The full range of Wolseley Register merchandise will be on sale – advance orders can be placed for collection at the Show to save on postage costs.

Wolseley Register Regalia at the 2022 NEC Classic Car & Restoration ShowNew Members may join at the Show where the £4 joining fee will be waived.  New Members receive a Welcome Pack of free gifts plus a Discount Voucher to spend on club merchandise.
