Wolseley & Riley Mk1 1500 Bonnet and Boot Hinges!

Very poor Boot Hinge!
Average condition bonnet hinges!

Are your Mk1 1500 bonnet and/or boot hinges causing you a headache? Many hinges are now so pitted and tarnished that they spoil the rest of the car, or even worse, they are so worn or even broken, that they render the car unusable. The demand for replacement hinges is increasing, and so the Wolseley Register has been looking at the possibility of remaking them.

Extensive research has been carried out, and we have now identified suitable partners to work on each stage of the manufacture. The hinges will be made in gun metal bronze, which will then be triple chromed and finished ready to be fitted, and will also include new nuts, washers and gaskets. They should hopefully be available for about £200 per pair to members, (slightly higher to non members), a price we believe to be very competitive compared to new commercial prices of similar style hinges.

Hinges will be produced in batches, with production obviously taking a while to get going, whilst we first produce some prototypes for testing. We hope that they should start to be available in Spring 2026.

So in order to purchase any hinges, I would ask all owners to contact me, preferably by email at sparesconsultant@thewolseleyregister.com, or by phone on 01524 761409, (leaving a message if no answer). Please state your name and whether you want bonnet or boot (or both) hinges.
